Brocade MLXe Series Routers

The Brocade MLXe Series network switches and routers provide several enhancements to the MLX/XMR product family, most notably the interoperability in one single unified platform. Brocade’s newest generation of modules “M” and “X” cards (BGP limits comparable to MLX and XMR, respectively), are license-based and allow customers to scale as their routing requirements grow! In addition to high-speed fan kits and rear exhaust for all chassis, the MLXe line has increased backplane capacity to support 100G per slot. In addition, existing NetIron XMR and MLX users can run their legacy management and line cards in the new MLXe saving significant money and allowing them to upgrade at a later date without having to buy a new chassis.
