FESX424HF 24-port GbE Fiber Switches Priced to Move

The once rare 24-port GbE Fiber rack switches, better known as the FESX424HF is now in stock and priced to move! These switches can come in a bunch of flavors, are a great L2/L3 edge switch and can support an optional 2 x 10GbE XFP module (X4-2xG). The Cisco equivalent would be either the ME-C6524GS-8S (24 Ethernet 10/100/1000 downlinks and 8 Gigabit Ethernet SFP uplinks) or possibly the ME-3800X-24FS-M (24 Gigabit Ethernet SFP ports and two 10 Gigabit Ethernet SFP+ ports) if 10GbE uplinks are what you require. In the world of Juniper, the EX4200-24F would be the weapon of choice. Of the 3 options, Foundry is both the cheapest option and offers the most flexibility and scalability within a fixed-configuration aggregation switch.
